colour wheels
12 colour wheel

the 12 colour wheel has a diameter of 8 inches and an inner diameter of 4 inches. it was made using the primary colours. the goal was to understand the interaction of colours and how mixing two in different ratios leads to the formation of varying intensities.

the 24 colour wheel is also of an 8 inch diamater. this was much harder to accomplish because of the number of colours between the primary colours. another issue faced was the result of the blue and red mixture. instead of violet, all the colours between those primaries looked brown.
group assignment

this assignment was quite fun to do. all the group members collected images of packaging that we found either at home or in the stores. each of us then chose two or three colours and compiled the images of those colours.
an interesting observation was that most of the packaging was made of plastic. although many of us try to be more sustainable, there are a lot of products we use that come in plastic merely because of the ease and abundance in their availability.
