gestalt's principle of emergence
the top view of the model shows arbitrary looking cylinders. but on closer examination of each plane it is observed that there is an emergence of a letter from the english alphabets.
gestalt's law of proximity
the p.o.p cylinders appear to be grouped in two.
the cylinders, albeit the same colour, appear to be divided based on their proximity with one another.

law of proximity + law of grouping based
on the basis of proximity, we group the cylinders in three groups, each consisting of three cylinders.
we are also able to group them based on our understanding of colour groups (primary, secondary etc).
